Here’s a two second tip to make your email newsletter infinitely better. Your logo at the top? Make sure it’s linked to your website. Done.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve opened an email, clicked on that logo, and stared at a slightly larger version of the logo. As if I wanted to inspect your brand in detail.
I want to know about your organization. I want to check out your website. I’m interested and eager to know more. I’m a captive audience—which is why you send out an email newsletter in the first place.
But instead I get a larger logo. You’ve let me down. Now I have to hunt for the link, or even worse, go to Google. Granted, it’s not the end of the world, but it’s a waste of my time. It’s a little bit annoying. And you could have easily avoided it.
Make your logo clickable.
