In late 2024 we launched Frozen Friday, a weekly email focused on the Minnesota Frost. Women’s professional hockey team was exploding with the second season of the PWHL and we were leaning into an obsession. Sadly, we’re shutting down the email with the end of this year’s playoffs.
We might pick it up again next season, but honestly—we need a break.
It was fun while it lasted and we really enjoyed finding stories and quotes to share.
But sometimes you need to quit. We once wrote an entire book about quitting, but the truth is we’re not good at taking that advice. This time around we tried to lean into it.
While we’re still big fans of the Minnesota Frost and love nerding out about the details, trying to be a sustainable content creator in this space took more energy than we had. We leaned into email hoping to avoid social media, but that’s where the space is right now. Connecting with fans was also more than our introverted heart could handle.
