Just before the new year we launched a new weekly email that offers Minnesota Frost fans news and updates. Frozen Friday highlights the new Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) team that won the championship in last year’s inaugural season.
The new season kicked off in December and with season tickets and a few games under our belt, we saw a need to share inside stories and updates. Rather than more sports stats, Frozen Friday hopes to be more accessible and offer inspiration and fun through human interest stories, quotes, highlights, fan swag, and more.
We’re running the project on Substack and exploring community building and a weekly digest format instead of our familiar blog approach. Sports reporting is a new world, but we’re having fun pairing a hobby with a new tech channel.
