Say Hello to Our Intern

West St. Paul Reader founder/editor Kevin D. Hendricks and intern Megan Noggle.

We just welcomed a new member to the team. Megan Noggle has joined West St. Paul Reader for a 20-week, paid internship.

  • Who: As the first student writer for West St. Paul Reader, Noggle has already written a dozen stories for us since January 2022. She’s a graduate of Two Rivers High School and will be studying journalism at Concordia College in Moorhead in the fall.
  • What: Noggle will primarily be writing news stories for West St. Paul Reader, but she’ll also get a broader view of the work that goes into journalism and the behind-the-scenes effort required to make a hyper-local news site work.
  • Why: We got our start more than 20 years ago when people gave us the opportunity. We’re thrilled to be able to pay it forward and give the next generation that vital experience.
  • How: Our West St. Paul Reader members make this possible. Without their ongoing support we couldn’t do local news, we couldn’t hire contributors, and we definitely couldn’t bring on an intern. Thanks to our members!
