Late last year we launched Frozen Friday, our weekly Minnesota Frost fan update following the exciting new chapter of women’s hockey in the PWHL. It’s been especially fun as the Frost entered the post-season to defend their Walter Cup championship.
The latest: Last night they tied the game with 15 seconds to go and then won in overtime to even the best of five series at one game a piece against the Ottawa Charge. That gave us a lot to highlight in today’s edition of Frozen Friday.
What we cover: This project is an exercise in content curation, sorting through what’s out there and mining for the best nuggets. We try to answer burning questions, point to fun moments, and celebrate inspiration and joy.
What’s next: One way or another the finals will end next week capping the season and we’ll have to see what’s next for this project. The off-season won’t start right away, as the league has an expansion draft and a regular draft in June. We’re exploring whether this should remain an email newsletter or if we should launch a full website.
