Mazie Meets Annie
Last weekend we went to Green Bay and Mazie the Destroyer met Annie the Cat. You may remember Annie from a while ago. We hung out. She was pretty cool, for a cat.
But that's not good enough for Mazie. She had to chase Annie off. Now I've met some mean cats, but I've also worked out my differences with cats. You'd think my little sister could learn a thing or two from her wiser big brother. But oh no. I've told Kevin and Abby they should get rid of her, but they don't seem to listen to me. Even Target agrees with me.
The funniest part was the second time Mazie chased Annie away. We hadn't seen Annie since the night before and we were both outside enjoying the fall weather. Then I noticed Annie come out from behind the bushes by the corner of the house. We both nodded nonchalantly and went about our business. But then Annie saw Mazie. She arched her back and puffed up and prepared to go medieval on Mazie. I sat back to watch the show.
But Mazie didn't even notice. She kept wandering along the fence, sniffing for the squirrels who moved out when they saw her coming. Finally Mazie stopped and gazed across the yard, less than three feet from Annie. Still nothing! That's where she's at in the picture. Then Mazie walked forward and it wasn't until she was directly in front of Annie that Mazie finally saw her. And then the show started.
They took off across the yard with Mazie making all kinds of noise. Annie finally jumped onto the fence and Mazie was dumbfounded. Annie chilled out atop the fence for a while, we nodded at each other, and Mazie spend the next half hour trying to figure out where the cat disappeared to.

Evil Step-Puppy
My friend Kaya is thinking of writing a novel. She just posted her plot outline, and it almost brought me to tears. So powerful, so moving, so familiar.

Only One Left
Mazie has one sister left for adoption. She's pretty cute. And Mazie's pretty nice, as far as sister's go. While Abby was filing out Mazie's paperwork, Kevin and I babysat all the little rugrats and she was kinda fun to hang out with, so maybe you can give her a home?

My Cousin Linus
Say hello to my four-month-old, two-and-a-half-pound chihuahua cousin. His name is Linus. All I have to say is this Christmas that cat has another thing coming.

The Hobster
I've got a new friend. His names Hobie. He's also got a sister named Kaya (who I think is pretty cute). They have their own website -you should check it out. Oh and if anyone knows of a good place for Hobie to hide out for a couple of weeks, you may want to e-mail him pretty quickly.

Little Friends
I went to Green Bay this weekend and Abby's mom had 2 kittens living with her. Belle and Boomer (Belle is the one with more white patches). I tried to be friends but we had a few issues. Eventually, it all worked out though.
At first they wanted nothing to do with me.
Belle wasn't too sure if she should play or run for her life.
Boomer just yelled at me the whole weekend.
Then there was the food problem:
So, I shared my food but they would not let me have any of theirs.
I got even by not sharing the toys in the backpack.
By the end of the day we did end up sharing the patch of sunlight on the chair.
So, I guess everything worked out.

New Friends
During the Christmas holidays I met a couple new friends. This is Annie. She and I chased each other all over the house until she decided to climb the christmas tree.
This is a picture of our first meeting.
This is me trying to sneak up on her.
And this is us just lying around.
This is Henson. Here's a picture of us showing off.

Purrkins
I attempted to make a new friend while in Kansas. He growled at me and smacked me in the face. I got even, I stole his toy mouse.
