Bad Knees

Well, I'm only a year and a half and I have already wrecked my knees playing sports. My vet said it's probably something I inherited from my mother, I think it's due to my drive to be the best agility dog ever, and prove to the world that the little dogs can dominate on the course. The long and short of is, I can still play on the course, but I probably shouldn't compete -or at least cut way back on the jumping and climbing. So I am going to be trying this new thing called Rally. I think I'll be pretty good at it, it seems to be all about the smarts. And I know that I've got the smarts - I'll let you know how it goes.

P.S. Don't worry about my knees - they don't hurt, they just make me go a little slower on the course. DOH!

Agility

Tonight was my last night at agility class. Here are a few highlights:

The Dog Walk

The Chute

The Tire Jump

The Tunnel (my favorite)

and The Jump

This was during free play at the end of class. I was trying to get Dakota to leave me alone. It didn't work.

Sorry some of the pictures are blurry. I was moving too fast for the camera.

Puppy in Training

I started school again. This time it's agility training. It's great. In case you don't know the word "agility" means "constant treats."

It works like this: I run through a tunnel, I get a treat. I touch Abby's hand, I get a treat. I go up the ramp, I get a treat. I go down the ramp, I get a treat. I look at Abby, I get a treat. See the pattern?

She also has this new thing - a clicker. I love the clicker. I do something, Abby clicks, and guess what? I get a treat.

It doesn't get much better than this.
