Who's Cuter?

I can't believe I'm even acknowledging this. Kevin is doing a survey over on his blog about some changes he wants to make or something. But the last question in the survey is:

Who's cuter?
-Speak
-Mazie
-Don't make me decide!

What a jerk. I think I'll go leave a nice surprise in his Homer slippers. At least he gave me top billing. If I wrote the survey it'd be a little simpler:

Who's the cutest dog in the whole wide world?
-Speak

So go take the survey and vote your conscience. You can just pretend Kevin actually listened to me and changed the last question to my above suggestion.

Only One Left

Mazie has one sister left for adoption. She's pretty cute. And Mazie's pretty nice, as far as sister's go. While Abby was filing out Mazie's paperwork, Kevin and I babysat all the little rugrats and she was kinda fun to hang out with, so maybe you can give her a home?

Old Yeller Dog Food

On the way home from Barnes & Noble Kevin talked about a story he heard on "As It Happens" (I'd link to their site for the audio, but they have a crappy web site that's not up to date, audio that's not broken into chunks, and audio that doesn't work. Kevin tells me that's a big deal) about Disney's Old Yeller Dog Food. Yes, as in Old Yeller, the 1957 movie (SPOILER ALERT) where a boy has to shoot his rabid best friend. This is wrong on so many levels.

And I Do My Little Turn On The Cat Walk

I'm offically a model. Sunday, they called Abby and asked if I could come in for an audition on Monday. Monday night, they called her and said I had the job. Today, I went to the studio to model halloween costumes for Target. Man it was a lot of work. I was so tired by the last roll of film that I was falling asleep in front of the camera. I had to wear two different costumes. The first costume was a princess costume. I am so mad about that one. Abby tried to explain to them that I am a boy dog, but they said it didn't matter and if I wanted to get paid, I had to wear the girly cape and hat. Whatever. The second costume was a tiger costume. I liked that one.

So when Target starts setting up all their Halloween stuff, look for the costumes. My picture will be on the packaging of the purple princess and the tiger.

And now I am going to take a well earned nap.

You're not a girl. You're nothin' but a sister.

Two Dogs: Speak & MazieSo, we all piled into the car today to go pick up the new kid. She's okay, I guess. She's littler than me, which is good. And she's not allowed on the couch and I am. So that's not bad. And I get to have my dinner first, which is for sure not a bad thing. They named her Mazie. I think she lucked out considering some of the other names they were tossing around in the car.

By the way, I found them

Just to update you...I found Abby and Kevin. They showed up really early Monday morning complaing about being tired from an airplane ride and talking about a place called L.A. It seems that they don't like dogs in L.A. (or at least at Brad's house) so they left me home for my own good. Well, that's the story they gave me anyway.....

I'm Gonna Be A Big Brother

There is this rumor floating around our house that I am going to be a big brother. This could be good. I've been the lowest rung on the ladder for a while now and this could be my chance to move up in the world. Just as long as the new kid remembers a few simple rules - the bottle caps are mine. The food in the bowls is mine. The space in the end of the bed is mine. And the sunny spot on the landing is mine - we should get along fine. It's a surprise who the new kid will be. All I know is it's one of these guys.

Oh, and I know they like me better than the new kid, cuz they had my name picked out before they even met me. They are still fighting about names for this kid.

Um...I'm Still Here

On Wednesday, Abby stayed home from work, which was fun. Then she and Kevin started to pack their bags. It was great, I didn't know we were going anywhere but I love car rides. So they packed up all their stuff and brought their bags downstairs. I noticed that they hadn't packed any of my stuff yet. I reminded them by running in and out of my crate, just to let them know that I was ready to go, but they still didn't pack my stuff. Then and car pulled up to the house and they loaded up all their bags. I ran into my crate, they gave me a treat and said, "See you later." It's Friday now, and I still don't have any idea what "later" means. There is a lady named something or other staying at the house with me, and she's pretty nice. But if you see Kevin and Abby, can you let them know that I am still here? and I would like to know what "later" means....

Thanks.
