This short novel captures humanity in the amazingly descriptive style of Anne Lamott.
The writing is incredible and makes the book a captivating read, despite the minimal plot. It's also another of Lamott's novels where one of the characters is a Jesus-hugging Christian, but with all the flaws and inconsistencies that come with real Christians--not the sugar-coated characters of typical Christian bookstore fare.
