Killing Bono by McCormick, Neil
Filed under: Memoir | Buy on Amazon
Rock critic Neil McCormick shares his story of pursuing the rock and roll dream while living in the shadow of the world's biggest rock band.
McCormick went to high school with the members of U2 and became close friends with Bono. But despite the success of his friends, doors continually closed on McCormick and his dreams.
There's plenty of early U2 history for the fans, as well as in-depth look at what it takes to make it in the music industry (or not make it, as the case may be). McCormick has an engaging style and an attention for detail that makes it a fun read.
