Create Your Own Subtitled Movies

Bombay TV is a fun little site that lets you create your own subtitled movies. They provide all kinds of horrible clips from B movies and you can insert your own subtitles.

It's a fun site, though it's too bad it loads so slowly and they don't let you download the movies you create.

Rehasing Movie Trailers

Editing and music are everything. You can completely change the tone and feeling by changing the cuts or the music. You've probably seen the rehashed trailers for The Shining and Back to the Future, but now TBS is doing the same for their promotion of their showing of The Lord of the Rings.

"It Sucks To Be Frodo" has to be one of the best, simply for the sake of originality, though the Frodo/Sam as lovers trailer is more well done. And the Gollum trailer has the makings of a great gross out comedy. (link via Kottke)

And while we're talking about rehashes, how about Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Friends (link via InFuze).
