Call it shock and awe, but Jim Carrey stars in a movie that deals reverently with God and still has a sense of humor.
Down-and-out reporter Bruce Nolan grows frustrated with the lousy hand God has dealt him, thinking he could do better. God, played by Morgan Freeman, grants Nolan's wish and lets him be God. But supreme power doesn't always make life easier. It's no Billy Graham on film, but Bruce Almighty is surprisingly faith-friendly and worth watching.
