X2: X-Men United
Filed under: Action | Buy on Amazon
In the midst of the summer of 2003's comic book-turned-movie resurgence one sequel came out with all the mind-bending special effects you'd expect, as well as some moments of faith you wouldn't.
The mutated super-freaks of X-Men returned in X2, along with the deep themes of acceptance, betrayal, and sacrifice. And if the strangely biblical nature of those themes isn't enough for you, X2 included a blue-skinned mutant who quoted Scripture in a heavy German accent. X2 is far from a Christian movie, especially with its PG-13 violence, but the seldom clear-cut good vs. evil themes laced throughout the movie are worth discussing.
